Community Guidelines

At BWBL, we believe bowling is more than a game—it’s a community built on respect, sportsmanship, teamwork, and a shared passion for competition. Whether you’re participating in a tournament, attending an event, volunteering, partnering with us, or engaging through our online platforms, these Community Guidelines help ensure that every member enjoys a welcoming, safe, and positive experience.

By participating in BWBL events or using our website, you agree to follow these guidelines and contribute to a community where everyone feels respected and valued.

Our Community
BWBL brings together bowlers, families, volunteers, sponsors, partners, and fans from communities across the country. We celebrate people of all backgrounds, skill levels, and experiences, believing that diversity strengthens our league and creates a better experience for everyone. We encourage friendly competition, positive attitudes, and mutual respect both on and off the lanes.

Respect Every Member
Every participant deserves to enjoy BWBL events without fear of harassment, discrimination, intimidation, or inappropriate behavior. We expect everyone to communicate respectfully, compete fairly, and treat others with courtesy regardless of age, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, gender, sexual orientation, or skill level. Healthy competition is encouraged. Disrespectful conduct is not.

Sportsmanship Comes First
Winning is rewarding, but integrity matters more than the final score. We ask all participants to compete honestly, follow tournament rules, respect officials and volunteers, congratulate fellow competitors, and represent the bowling community with professionalism. Unsportsmanlike conduct, cheating, intentional disruption, or attempts to gain unfair advantages may result in disciplinary action.

Creating a Safe Environment
BWBL is committed to maintaining a safe and inclusive environment for everyone attending our tournaments and events. Participants should follow venue rules, event staff instructions, and all applicable safety procedures at all times. Any behavior that threatens the safety or well-being of participants, spectators, volunteers, or staff may result in immediate removal from the event.

Harassment and Discrimination
BWBL maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward harassment, bullying, intimidation, discrimination, or abusive behavior in any form. This includes, but is not limited to, verbal abuse, threatening language, physical intimidation, unwanted physical contact, sexual harassment, discriminatory remarks, hate speech, offensive gestures, or any conduct that creates an uncomfortable or hostile environment. Such behavior is unacceptable both at BWBL events and within our online community.

Online Community Standards
Our website and social media platforms are extensions of our community. We encourage respectful conversations, constructive feedback, and positive engagement. Users should avoid posting offensive, abusive, defamatory, misleading, discriminatory, or inappropriate content. Spam, impersonation, personal attacks, or attempts to disrupt discussions are not permitted. BWBL reserves the right to remove content or restrict access where necessary to maintain a respectful community environment.

Photography and Media
BWBL events may be photographed or recorded for promotional, marketing, editorial, or historical purposes. By attending our events, participants acknowledge that photographs or video footage may include their likeness. If you have concerns regarding photography or media usage, please contact our team before or during the event whenever possible.

Reporting Concerns
If you experience or witness behavior that violates these Community Guidelines, we encourage you to report it as soon as possible. Speaking up helps us maintain a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable environment for everyone. All reports will be reviewed respectfully and handled as appropriately as possible based on the information provided.

Our Commitment
BWBL is committed to treating every report fairly and taking appropriate action when necessary. Depending on the situation, actions may include verbal warnings, participant education, removal from an event, suspension from future events, or permanent restrictions from BWBL activities. Where required, we may also cooperate with venue management or relevant authorities.

Building the Future Together
Our community continues to grow because of the people who support it. Every participant, volunteer, partner, sponsor, and fan plays an important role in creating the welcoming atmosphere that defines BWBL. By showing respect, encouraging others, competing with integrity, and helping fellow bowlers succeed, we can continue building a community that everyone is proud to be part of.

Updates to These Guidelines
These Community Guidelines may be updated from time to time to reflect the continued growth of BWBL, improvements to our events, or changes in best practices. The most current version will always be available on our website.
